The New York Islanders announced Saturday that defenceman Jesse Pulkkinen has been reassigned from the Trenton Ironhawks, the club’s ECHL affiliate, to the Hamilton Hammers.
The 21-year-old blueliner has skated in three games with Trenton this season, along with one game with Hamilton.
Pulkkinen recorded nine goals and nine assists for 18 points in 36 games with the Worcester Railers last season, while also appearing in 20 games with the Bridgeport Islanders.
The Hammers wrap up the weekend Sunday afternoon with a trip to Utica to take on the Comets. Watch the game live on AHLTV on FloHockey.
Hamilton returns to TD Coliseum on Wednesday to host the Toronto Marlies for Student Night presented by Mohawk College, opening a three-game homestand that also includes visits from the Providence Bruins and Lehigh Valley Phantoms. Tickets are available at HamiltonHammers.com.
