HAMMERS SIGN FORWARD MAX ELLIS TO ONE-YEAR AHL CONTRACT

The Hamilton Hammers announced today that they have signed forward Max Ellis to a one-year American Hockey League contract.

Ellis, 26, hails from Plymouth, Michigan, and spent the 2025-26 season in the Kontinental Hockey League (KHL) with HK Sochi and Shanghai Dragons. He appeared in a combined 52 games, recording 16 goals and 14 assists for 30 points with the clubs.

During the 2024-25 season, Ellis skated in 25 games with Jukurit of Finland's Liiga, registering eight goals and 10 assists for 18 points.

Prior to playing overseas, Ellis appeared in 87 American Hockey League games with the Toronto Marlies in the AHL, recording 14 goals and 20 assists for 34 points.

The 5-foot-9, 172-pound forward played three seasons of NCAA Division I hockey at the University of Notre Dame, where he totaled 22 goals and 23 assists for 45 points in 71 games.
