Hamilton Signs Defenceman Rowe, Forward Thiesing

Hamilton, Ontario (July 23, 2026) – The Hamilton Hammers announced today that defenseman Luke Rowe and forward Cam Thiesing have signed one-year AHL contracts with the club.

Rowe, 27, hails from Succasunna, New Jersey. Last season, he appeared in 62 games with the Bridgeport Islanders, recording two goals and 11 assists for 13 points. It was his second full season in the American Hockey League. During the 2024-25 campaign, Rowe skated in 65 games for the Ontario Reign, recording three goals and seven assists for 10 points.

A graduate of the United States Air Force Academy, Rowe appeared in 125 NCAA games, recording 21 goals and 53 assists for 74 points. Following the 2023-24 season, he was nominated for the Hobey Baker Memorial Award.

Thiesing, 25, is from Franklin, Tennessee, and spent the previous two seasons with the Bridgeport Islanders. Last season, he skated in 63 games, recording nine goals and eight assists for 17 points. His 17-point campaign surpassed his rookie season in 2024-25, when he recorded six goals and eight assists for 14 points.

Prior to turning professional, Thiesing played 108 games at Ohio State University, recording 32 goals and 29 assists.

The Hamilton Hammers will begin their inaugural season in October 2026.
